The large number of its departments, committees and working groups demonstrates the VDA’s in-depth and comprehensive commitment to the German Automotive Industry. In addition, the association has established other concentrations with the special Fields of Activity and Topics. The interests of the association and its members center on climate and environment by focusing on alternative fuels and motors, electromobility, energy-efficient fuel consumption, air pollution control, gas-saving measures for drivers, environmental protection and chemicals in the production. Road safety in Germany is another main topic spotlighting accident research, improvement of road accident rescue and the particular role of buses and transporters.
