A good read at the 63rd IAA Cars 2009

Thalia trade show bookstore for an "automotive break”

Frankfurt am Main, 26 August 2009. "Imagination is the driver of the future" is the slogan chosen by the Thalia bookselling group for its presentation at the International Motor Show (IAA) in September. After the successful premiere at the IAA in 2007, this year again Thalia will have its own trade fair bookstore at the world's most important trade show for mobility. A varied range of literature chosen especially for the IAA offers automotive bookworms the chance to relax and read a good book.

The bookstore is located in the foyer of Hall 4.1 and offers items such as books, picture books, gifts, calendars and bargains on all subjects to do with cars and other topics besides. Visitors can also try out Sony's e-book Reader.

Both during the IAA and in the run-up to it, many branches of Thalia throughout Germany are in the grip of car fever and offering their customers a selection of titles related to the "fascination of the automobile." The Thalia bookshops in the Rhine-Main area also have a special surprise for their customers: they will receive a voucher for ten per cent off the admission price to the IAA.

Thalia is a multi-channel provider uniting branch shops and online bookselling, and offers the best of many worlds and a land of inspiration both in the shops and at www.thalia.de.

At the 63rd IAA Cars, which will take place in Frankfurt am Main from 17 to 27 September 2009, around 700 exhibitors - including more than 60 vehicle manufacturers from around the world - will present the latest highlights and trends in the automotive industry. Comprehensive information about the trade fair, e.g. the special shows, opening times and advance ticket sales, is available at the official IAA web site on the Internet: www.iaa.de.
