The different faces of the automotive industry
The German automotive industry generates an annual turnover of 291 billion Euros and is one of the largest providers of professional training in the country. It files 10 patents every day, makes Germany a global leader in terms of exports and invests more than 18 billion Euros annually in research and development. Our cars demonstrate innovative spirit, a quest for perfection, responsibility, skill and passion. German automotive innovations have become established all over the world, just like our most important invention - the car itself.
Our success has many faces. More than 750,000 people are employed in the German automotive industry - in research and development, production, administration and sales. Although we will only introduce some of them here, we offer our warmest thanks to them all.
