In good hands with VDA
The department promotes the interests of around 70 member companies from the German trailer and body industry and bus manufacturers, who make up Manufacturer Group II within the VDA. The department has the main responsibility for organising the VDA’s bodies and committees in the German commercial vehicle industry. This includes in particular the intensive exchange between the German van and truck manufacturers in Manufacturer Group I and the members of Manufacturer Group II. The department also maintains contact with ministries, authorities and other related associations and organisations. Planning the content of International Press Workshops, events at the IAA Commercial Vehicles and the IAA Cars also comes within its remit. Traditionally the head of the department is the Secretary General of the International Association of the Body and Trailer Building Industry (CLCCR) and organises the Board of Directors’ Meetings twice every year to provide a forum for exchanging opinions on political topics and European markets.
