VDA Internet platforms support the value chain
The VDA has set up the Internet platforms
www.vda-herstellernachweis.de and www.vda-kooperationsportal.de to support the activities of its member companies.
The Directory of the Automotive Industry is a database in which VDA member companies can enter relevant corporate information and indicate their product range, classified according to a special product key. Users of the directory can conduct a detailed search for companies, products or regions to obtain accurate information, and can contact the relevant persons in the firms directly via email.
The VDA cooperation portal is an Internet platform containing news, details of events, literature, service providers, links and checklists for cooperations in the automotive industry. It is available in both German and English and its special feature is an electronic marketplace where the desired features of a cooperation can be submitted and matched with offers from other companies, so that potential partners can be brought together.
Since the databases of German automotive initiatives and those of foreign organizations are networked, the cooperation portal is developing more and more into an international service tool, on www.auto-world.org.
