The Department of Statistics, Analyses and Forecasts (SAP) is in charge of statistics, automobile business cycles and forecasts worldwide. In this connection, the department processes internal and external statistics in the national and international arena and generates analyses for the German automotive industry and international competitive comparisons. SAP compiles statistic documentation, annals, and press services for a variety of situations in the automotive industry. Its tasks include maintaining contacts to automobile associations, statistic offices and research institutes as well as liaising with working groups. Moreover, SAP prepares analyses, texts and presentations on the economic and structural situation in the automotive industry.
