  The German commercial vehicle market continued its recovery in the month of May. A total of 22,300 units were registered last month, 12 per cent more commercial vehicles than in May last year. This means that the German domestic commercial vehicle market has now been improving for three months in succession.

  The international passenger car markets are continuing to improve. In May German manufacturers’ exports of passenger cars totaled 367,700, which was 46 per cent up on the weak result in May last year. Since the beginning of this year exports have risen by almost half, to 1.77 million units.
