The Department of Economic Intelligence evaluates the current business cycle, worldwide automotive forecasts as well as economic and statistical issues. For this purpose, it prepares internal and external statistics in the national and international field and produces analyses and publications on the German automotive industry. In addition to that, the department's tasks include maintaining contacts with automobile associations, statistical offices, and research institutes and supporting working groups.
