From Smart City Infrastructure to the Circular Economy

"Experience Connected Mobility" will be the motto when the starting signal is given for the IAA MOBILITY on September 5, 2023. The event that, like no other, stands for a comprehensive and modern concept of mobility and offers the perfect platform for expert dialog on all relevant topics.

And there are more than enough of them in these exciting and trend-setting times. Connected Mobility is just one example: the digital networking of vehicles with other road users and the necessary infrastructure.

It is not only an elementary prerequisite for making the tangible dream of autonomous mobility a reality, but also the basis for a holistic ecosystem in which a wide variety of mobility services can communicate alongside and with each other.

IAA MOBILITY 2023 will showcase development studies from the various suppliers right next to promising digital innovations and solutions. It offers the necessary space for inspiring dialogs, workshops and presentations by producers, software manufacturers, IT service providers, urban developers, researchers and politicians.

    Urban und rural mobility

Also high on the agenda: the topics of urban and rural mobility. The ambitious climate targets and the urgent need to reduce road congestion in cities call for innovative and sustainable mobility concepts. At the same time, the mobility of the future must not be thought of solely from the perspective of urban centers. Proposals for solutions on how classic urban models can also connect rural areas without emissions are and will remain a central concern. But a lot will also happen in the big cities. Here, traffic volumes and CO2 emissions must be reduced, air quality improved and traffic safety increased. This is made possible by smart city infrastructure.

    Sustainable Mobility and Circular Economy

Last but not least, IAA MOBILITY places a special focus on the topics of Sustainable Mobility and Circular Economy, combined with the claim to be the leading international platform not only for mobility and tech, but also for sustainability. Among other things, against the backdrop of new German and European legislation and the growing ESG focus of donors, alternative drive technologies such as electromobility, hydrogen and e-fuels are a central component of numerous showcases and panels at IAA MOBILITY. In addition, "Circular Economy" - i.e. the model of a sustainable circular economy, from procurement and production to the reprocessing and further processing of vehicle components such as batteries - offers highly interesting approaches to solutions that need to be discussed.
