To optimize the logistics chain between automobile manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers, the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has developed a standardized small load carrier (SLC) system that can be handled mechanically and manually. It is modularly designed to fit the base areas 1200 x 800 (Euro) and 1200 x 1000 (ISO) and is a universally applicable, poolable system. The VDA KLT system aims to conserve resources and increase efficiency in logistics through standardized, automatable, and ergonomically designed containers. It ensures safe transport, protects the load and enables flexible and space-saving empties logistics through pooling and cross-manufacturer compatibility. Uniform quality standards and recyclability also ensure sustainability and reliability throughout the entire system.
