Assemblability test of nuts with zinc flake coatings
The test procedure described in this recommendation applies to sampling, approval and series testing of nuts and nut-like parts with non-electrolytically applied zinc flake (flZN) coatings and is applicable within the process chain manufacturer - coater - user.
Note: For the test procedure described here positive experiences from practical applications in range M5 to M39 are available. This is analogously applicable to other dimensions.
The dimensional specifications and tests by means of thread gauges (according to DIN EN ISO 1502) as specified in DIN EN ISO 10683 can often not be implemented for the qualification of internal threads from the view-point of practical application.
