Advance ticket sales start for the 66th IAA Cars

Anyone who wants to be sure of a ticket for the 66th International Motor Show (IAA) Cars in Frankfurt am Main can order one, starting right now – with several types of tickets to choose from. The “webshop” ticket prices remain mostly unchanged, while Day Tickets for visitors on working days and on the weekends are actually one euro cheaper than they were at the 65th IAA Cars. And more types of tickets are available online. The good-value Afternoon Ticket that is great for visiting the trade show after work costs 8 euro. A Day Ticket for schoolchildren is available for 7.50 euro. Those who visit the IAA on business can buy a Day Ticket for trade visitors, which is available online for 45 euro. The Gift Ticket with a greeting card makes a special present for any automobile fan at 18 euro, which entitles the holder to visit the exhibition to two consecutive Public Days and has already become very popular. The Gift Ticket comes either in high-quality credit card format, or as a decorative pdf file that can be printed out. Tickets can be ordered from the IAA internet shop, at: http://www.iaa.de/en/ (no advance booking charge).

On the show grounds it will also be possible to buy reduced-price Day Tickets for students, apprentices, persons on German voluntary military service or a social/ecological year, and recipients of German unemployment benefit type II, for only 7.50 euro. Admission is free for children under the age of six. Disabled persons (with “B” on their ID card) are admitted to the IAA free of charge. Disabled persons requiring an attendant and wheelchair users and their attendants also have free admission.

The slogan of the 66th IAA Cars is “Mobility connects.” The claim focuses on a megatrend in the automotive industry: connectivity. In the future, vehicles and drivers will be connected all the time. This will not only expand the range of mobile communications, but driving will also become safer. The key visual, which appears on all materials connected with the IAA, is a pictorial interpretation of the slogan: it shows a fascinating and dynamic world that symbolizes the future of mobility, especially in an urban setting. Individual dots of light form dynamic streamlines representing both the paths travelled and communication between vehicles.

The 66th IAA Cars will take place in Frankfurt am Main from 17 to 27 September 2015. It will be preceded by two Press Days (15 and 16 September 2015). The IAA will be opened by Chancellor Angela Merkel on 17 September 2015.
