Electric mobility represents an important milestone on the way to sustainable and modern mobility of tomorrow. This key technology promises to deliver intelligent solutions for the efficient and environmentally friendly transport of passengers and goods. Where is Germany placed in the development of this future technology? What has been achieved so far? What obstacles still need to be overcome? The third Electric Mobility Congress held on September 17, 2013 during the 65th International Motor Show (IAA) Cars in Frankfurt dealt with these questions.
High-ranking representatives of industry, science and politics discussed the successes and challenges of electric mobility, presented innovations and pointed out national and international trends. The one-day congress was organized by the Automotive Industry Federation (VDA) in cooperation with the BDEW, BDI, BITKOM, VCI, VDMA and ZVEI associations. The congress examined the key elements of the systematic approach, focusing on users of the overall electric mobility system.
