    The philharmonic on wheels

    A musical experience like at the opera. Continental and Sennheiser bring 3-D sound to the car – without conventional speakers. The idea is inspired by musical instruments with vibrating wooden bodies and also protects the environment: Heavy speakers are replaced by a 3-D audio system that is up to 90% lighter, which also contributes to lower CO₂ emissions worldwide. This reduction in weight and installation space makes the technology particularly attractive for electric and hybrid vehicles. Continental and Sennheiser create an immersive sound experience like at a concert.

    Continental's Ac2ated sound system, combined with Sennheiser's AMBEO immersive 3-D audio software, uses integrated, invisible actuators and the car’s surfaces to fill the vehicle interior with an impressive 3-D sound.
