Communication, Events & Marketing
We are the contact for press inquiries and provide our digital channels with current and relevant content. We are also responsible for the numerous VDA events - from the Mobility Innovation Summit to the VDA SME Day. Moreover, we are responsible for marketing and communications for the IAA MOBILITY and IAA TRANSPORTATION.
Transformation requires clear communication
Our team handles all current media inquiries, press releases, interviews, and statements. In the VDA Newsroom, we monitor the media situation, current discourse, and debates - including, of course, on our various social media channels. The press office and digital editorial team are in constant contact and work together to ensure that all relevant topics are appropriately covered on the association's website and all other channels.

Information and Dialogue
We are ambassadors for the interests of the automotive industry and advocate for modern, future-oriented multimodal mobility on the path to climate neutrality. Our goal is to strengthen the VDA brand internationally and effectively communicate the visions and innovations of our members to politicians, the media, and social groups. We promote social participation in the transformation of mobility and create targeted platforms for the exchange of ideas on mobility, sustainability, digitalization, economic policy, and technological innovations.
The VDA organizes the largest international mobility platform, IAA MOBILITY, and the IAA TRANSPORTATION, the world's most important platform for the future of the commercial vehicle industry. With specific marketing strategies for the VDA events, we increase the international presence and relevance of our industry.
The press office team is responsible for the VDA's communications. The spokespersons are the contact persons for all national and international media outlets. They maintain close contact with everyone who writes and broadcasts about the automotive industry, the industry's transformation, economic policy, or sustainable individual mobility – whether in print, digital, TV, radio, or podcasts.
The VDA is present on selected digital channels and explains the topics and positions of the German automotive industry. The team communicates primarily on the VDA website, LinkedIn, YouTube, and whatever comes next.
The Member Communications & Brand team communicates the current positions of the automotive industry online, offers insights into the association's work, and supports members with offerings such as webinars and background information in the VDA Insight newsletter and in the exclusive members' area on vda.de. We strengthen the VDA brand through strategic industry marketing, a memorable corporate design, and brand management. We incorporate position papers into the VDA layout and publish them on the VDA website.
We are responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of the association's events. As a core element for personal exchange, we create modern platforms for information and dialogue on all mobility-related topics, including the crucial areas of sustainability, technology, and economic policy. Our goal is to bring together members and partners from industry, politics, and society through innovative event formats to jointly shape the future of mobility.
Our team implements the marketing and communication strategies for the IAA MOBILITY and IAA TRANSPORTATION. We not only engage exhibitors, visitors, and professional audience, but also inform the general public through media, websites, and social media channels about current trends in the mobility spectrum, including insights into economic policy and technological advances. With comprehensive PR, content creation, and video production, we position both IAA events globally as central platforms for sustainable mobility solutions and innovations, ensuring that our discussions and presentations cover the full range of topics, from sustainability and mobility to the latest technological trends.
