Legal issues at the VDA
In general, the department is in charge of legal policy issues of the VDA and offers legal analysis and advice within the association. In commercial law, the focus is on contract law, liability, corporate and competition law at both national and European level. Industrial property law covers the protection of intellectual property as the basis for the innovative strength of the automotive industry. With regard to digitalization, the department deals with the rapidly developing law of data in vehicles and companies, as well as data protection.
