    Goodbye car key

    In collaboration with Apple, BMW is the world's first car brand to offer its customers a digital car key on the iPhone. The BMW Digital Key is used to unlock and start the car, and the owner can invite up to five friends to share it. The Digital Key is stored on the iPhone with the highest security standards.

    New access systems are also available from other companies. Thanks to OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, for instance, iris recognition will soon be sufficient to open and start the car.
